Our client is a well-established construction company headquartered in North Charleston and is seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to support financial visibility, job profitability, and overall business performance.
This is a role with operational responsibility, working closely with ownership and senior leadership and requiring comfort operating in the details. The company recently transitioned to QBO and utilizes a project management software tool and is looking for this individual to focus on improving reporting and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and insight to ownership, including review of financials, key decisions, and overall business performance
- Analyze job profitability, margins, estimating, and contract implications to support sustainable, profitable work
- Strengthen job-level and company-level financial reporting and visibility
- Ensure effective integration between QuickBooks Online and project management software
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of hands-on finance leadership experience
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience; ERP exposure a plus
- Experience improving and refining financial processes and procedures
- Construction industry experience preferred but not required
