Tax Manager – Public Accounting
We are currently partnering with a respected Charleston-based CPA firm that is seeking a Tax Manager to support continued growth and a strong, loyal client base. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys public accounting but is looking for a sustainable workload and a healthy work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Supporting tax planning and compliance for ongoing client relationships
- Serving as a primary point of contact for clients and internal teams
- Managing deadlines and ensuring accuracy across engagements
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff as needed
Required Background
- CPA license or active CPA track
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong technical foundation with a practical, client-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
