Controller, Charleston, SC
Our client, a large, financially-robust nonprofit headquartered on the Peninsula is seeking a Corporate Controller to join their team. This position is open due to growth and will report directly to the CFO. Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of financial statements for the Company, monitoring of the GL system, watching for trends, and maintain and/or develop financial statement models.
- Documentation, implementation, monitoring and enhancement of policies and procedures, as well as internal controls.
- Drive greater efficiency throughout the accounting function with a focus on continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of experience in either public accounting or industry. Must be extremely detail-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills. This is NOT a remote position.
