Controller, North Charleston, SC

Our client, a high-growth PE-backed  manufacturing company based in the greater Charleston area, is seeking a Controller to join their team. This position will be based in North Charleston, with some local travel.  This is a hands-on position and responsibilities include:

• Leading the monthly close process and preparing financial statements
• Preparing the annual budget and forecasting for the plant and track variances and performance monthly
• Analyze, identify and minimize manufacturing variances.
• Documentation, implementation, monitoring and enhancement of policies and procedures, as well as internal controls.
• Drive greater efficiency throughout the accounting function with a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting close experience
• Ability and desire to roll up your sleeves
• Experience setting up and refining processes and procedures
